Tennis Clinics Available for Kids 6-11

The Asheboro Parks and Recreation Department and the Randolph County Community Tennis Association are offering tennis clinics for beginners, ages 6 - 11 years old. The clinics will be conducted on Sunday afternoons (and possibly other times). The clinics are free and they will be conducted by Amr Elwarak, Director of Tennis at Memorial Park. Boys and girls are welcome

The clinics are designed to expose kids to basic tennis strokes, scorekeeping, and informal competition in a lively, low-key atmosphere. APR and RCTA hope to get more youngsters involved in tennis at an early age. Some youths may later elect to play high school tennis. Tennis is a life-long sport enjoyed by many players well into their 80's. Telephone the Tennis Center at 629-1772 for more information.
